Good food. Fast takeout wait time. If you do take out you have to either order a drink while waiting or pay a cash tip for the bartender to receive the tip. Otherwise, the owner takes the tip for himself.

I brought the family out to Papa Nacho‘s for dinner with some friends of ours and I wanted to write a quick review and let everyone know how wonderful the food was. The service was great our servers name was Dylan he’d did a very good job.We had drinks,queso and meals . Everything was darn tasty!I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants fresh salsa and yummy Tex-Mex food with soft warm tortillas in the Boerne area. Their prices are also very reasonable! My daughter said she would not recommend the margaritas said they tasted wine based.

It was pretty good. My family members were all happy with our meals. The server was friendly but super busy so we did wait on some stuff. The queso wasn't the best I've ever had but the chips and salsa are great and my fajitas came out sizzling and hot and wonderful. Over all great job.

Had the shrimp nachos, best I've had in san Antonio! Cheese enchiladas were also great! Tortillas are super soft and so gooooddd! Our service was the best parrrtttt!! We never had an empty glass! And was just super fast!!

Great food, drinks, staff, and atmosphere. Our favorite is fajita nachos when it is just us, but with family the nachos platters.

Stay away from this place! I went in the other night to pick up a take out order and it took me an hour to get my food. I have never seen anything like it. Completely disorganized, workers clearly incompetent, no one would answer the ringing phone. The place is a disaster. When I finally got my food and got home, the order was wrong. I guess I should not have been surprised. The food is adequate at best. Not worth all the aggravation. Never going back there again!

My favorite Mexican food place! I'm always greeted warmly and promptly, food is served quickly so I regularly visit during my lunch break, and I always receive great customer service. They offer free chips and salsa -- the salsa tastes very fresh and has just the right amount of spice.

I was just fine when we walked in to eat. Once we left we drove over to HEB and I got extremely nauseous, about 45 minutes later I threw everything up. The server was awesome, the prices were okay.. a little on the proud side for what they serve but the food was pretty good. Something definitely wasn’t right with my food though! I haven’t been sick in years until eating here. Please look into your food handling and safety!

I love it here. My family eats here fairly often. The food is good. The wait staff is very attentive, and the prices are good, not great. But good.

My husband and I really enjoy the food here! Queso could be heated a little more, since not quite melted in the center, but we still order it all the time!!!

Ordered fajita taco salad to go. I got home and got everything but the fajitas. I let them know. They let me know the meat was missing. Not worth the gas to get the meat. This was an expensive salad.

Wonderful service. Delicious fish plate. Had an afternoon margarita and was surprised at the $9 tab for the drink, but I'm used to going other places for half price happy hour....

Really enjoyed this place! My dad was visiting from the northeast, so I asked some neighbors for recommendations and several suggested Papa Nacho's. Delicious food and generous portions. We will be back!

Best cheese enchiladas in San Antonio! However, the salsa is bland and the margaritas are small and expensive.

Food and service was the best as always. Our party of three enjoyed the melt in the mouth beef fajitas, the most outstanding enchilada poblanos, and the chilaquiles verse. My go to Mexican restaurant in San Antonio. We drive 17 miles one way to enjoy a meal there.

Been going here for 10 years and cannot find better Mexican food anywhere. The cheese is insane. The staff is amazing. The queso.... (pause for a moment of silence)... is heavenly.

My wife and I live in Boerne and we are sick of the Mexican restaurants there so she suggested Papa Nachos and it did not disappoint. The food was large portions, seasoned great and tasted fantastic. We have made this our new favorite Mexican restaurant. Also the restaurant was very clean and no dust above the light fixtures or on vents.

You think with the word Nachos in the name the nachos would be amazing. So disappointed when I received 10 chips with beans and cheese on each one. I prefer a heap of chips with beans and cheese and beef over all that...that is what nachos really are. What I got was way over priced.

The service was extremely quick and friendly, the sangria was great, and the prices are very reasonable. I was, however, slightly disappointed with the food. The refried beans and rice did not taste freshly made, the ceviche appetizer was okay but had a not-so-fresh taste as well. I will certainly give it another try as the service was on par.

The service here is terrible! So bad that when requesting to speak to a manager to share our experience; he wouldn’t even come out and speak to us. Way to many great Mexican food restaurants here in San Antonio. My recommendation would be to spend a bit more money and go to La Fogata right around the corner. Much better food and way better service!

Papa Nacho's and Aldaco's are my favorite two Mexican restaurants. I enjoy the spinach enchiladas. The chips are good and the salsa is decent.

The tefried beans were inedible.The test of the food was just ok. There afte much better places to eat Tex-mex food.

Excellent food and spectacular service!

In for an early lunch about 11 AM. Surprisingly colorful and nice decor inside. Menu also was not your typical Mexican restaurant fare. Ordered the spinach salad. Metal utensils, ceramic plates, and cloth napkins. Salsa and chips were good. I like salsa that is not so hot you can’t taste anything when your meal arrives. Very quiet inside with Spanish music playing at a low level. I was seated immediately. My drink and entree orders were taken quickly. Waiter seemed a little bored and not too happy to be there.My entree arrived quickly and was very good! Grilled chicken on top of spinach with grapes, walnuts, honeydew melon and cantaloupe with a nice citrus dressing that was sublime and not overwhelming. I would definitely recommend it.Overall a good lunch for a good price

Always consistently very good and good service. We've been going for years. Never even a slightly bad experience.

We wanted to support a local resturant by ordering out and picking up during this trying time. We have always had great take out from Papa Nacho's in the past. Not today very disappointing. Burned food, I'm talking tortillas and fried shrimp, missing refried beans, and cheese on the cheese quesadilla. Food was super greasy. They were not staffed for all the take out orders based on the folks waiting for orders. Let's hope they get this turned around.

Great selection of nachos and good too

We just stopped in for the first time and really enjoyed the food. The nachos were great and we really liked the new tortilla soup. We will be back for sure!

Something very strange about FOH staff. My order was taking by an older gentleman who appears to be the manager. If indeed he was? This is the worst person I've come across in years, in customer service. This is one sorry employee. If by chance the owners read this? Reply. I will come in and point him out and call him on the carpet. I work down the road. @ 12:30pm 9-19-17---------2nd visit. I posted the pics of the Fajitas Nachos. Horrible. The preparation of these tell me they didn't give a hoot about what the customer eats. Again no hospitality upon entering. Also, I blame the customers because they sit there thinking they are eating some awesome food. A lot of bad food in S.A. and too many people are getting too used to this. I picked up 4 different orders of nachos the three ladies in the office really thought they were eating good nachos. After sampling there's I pointed out the discrepancies and they sat there puzzled mentioning that you're right. To be continued

Great food, great staff. Tacos al carbon are great as well as the enchilada rojas with beef. Fajita nachos are good all the time too.

We like this restaurant. Food is good & so is the service. The last time in they were short staffed so the hostess took the order. Everything was perfecto. Not a knock but an observation - the Mexican Chicken Fried Steak was a daily special recently, it is not very Mexican. It is a good chicken fried steak but I can get that down the street & by the time you tip out $25 is high for CFS & tea. Long story long...Papa is not cheap but we will be back, garontee.

Real Mexican food, prices are really good and nice cold beer!!!
